  • 0

After you select a template and choose a theme, you can further customize your site in BaseKit by replacing the default images that came with the theme.

For best results, you will want to replace your template's default images with images of the same size. This will keep the organization of the layout without distorting your images.

Determining Default Image Sizes

  1. Click on the image you wish to replace to reveal the image tools.
  2. Click on the gear icon.
  3. The image dimensions are displayed in the drawer at the bottom of the screen.
    • Once the drawer is open, you can click on any other image to get the dimensions of that image.

Replacing Images

There are two ways in which you can replace the default images once you have determined their dimensions.

Simple Method

  1. Double click on the image to be replaced.
  2. In the popup window, click Upload.

    • If you have previously uploaded images, you will need to select the new image to apply it. Otherwise, the previously uploaded image will automatically be applied.

Alternate Method

  1. Click on the image to reveal the image tools.
  2. Click on the plus icon (+) to reveal the upload popup.
  3. In the popup window, click Upload.
  4. Select the image you wish to upload, and click Open.
    • If you have previously uploaded images, you will need to select the new image to apply it. Otherwise, the previously uploaded image will automatically be applied.
